A new year, a new me, and a new look on things...

A NEW YEAR

2012 so far has been bitter sweet...

Bitter because of some sad news in the first week of the year

Sweet because FINALLY I am getting somewhere with my career. I think I have my foot in the door. It only took a year and a half... No biggie... =/ I think...

A NEW ME

Alcohol free for 2012, besides the glass of wine here or there... and only a specific one

No more shopping for unnecessary crap, i.e shoes =(, clothes, blah blah blah.. Just no more shopping... I wonder how long this is going to last... O.o

A NEW LOOK ON THINGS

My shoe addiction has come to a complete halt... For one thing, I have just, I MEAN JUST, realized that in 2011, I purchased over 4o pairs of shoes...o.O OMG... I went from 20 pairs to over 60...

Then I looked at my shoe wall and realized that there are a few pairs that I have not yet worn and is collecting dust. I believe I should at least wear them, before I buy another pair of heels.

Obviously I really had absolutely no reason to buy the purses, and yes they look a tad bit alike...but they were black and white... and since I don't own anything with houndstooth pattern.. I had to have it and it was only $22 plus change. The Peets purse was pure impulse buy. I swear this is going to be the last impulse buy. AND I was eyeing this bag for a while but didn't really wanna pay full price.. How could I give up a purse that is $12.98...

The weather where I live right now is HORRID.

Snow, then sun, then snow, then hail PLUS the damn below 0˚C temperature. Tomorrow it's suppose to hit -15˚C...O.O...And then it comes RAIN... The boots will just have to do =) and a little reward for myself for working 7 days a week... I DO NOT HAVE A LIFE!!!

And I need black flat knee high boots.. I really do.

PLUS.. I bought these items before I had this whole no shopping epiphany...

Things, I Cannot Comprehend...

I cannot comprehend -- how some shoes are designed, made, and put into stores and purchased -- how some people style them -- how they can be so god damn expensive.

I am in no way of trying to offend anyone. This is just my thoughts of things!

How some shoes are designed, made, and put into stores and purchased?

There are a lot of pretty shoes out there in this world but what I do not understand is how some designers out there can design a pair of shoes, mass produce them, and sell them for some ridiculous price...

EXAMPLE

Jeffrey Campbell Lita

U.G.L.Y - Why people buy these and wear them, I do not know. They make your feet look monstrously big and the cost is ridiculously priced (to me). I wouldn't even pay $1 for these shoes yet alone $150 to $200. >.< *shivering

How some people style them?

EXAMPLE

Ankles too small for the mouth of your ankle boots...

Ummm...One of my BIGGEST, I mean really BIG, pet peeve of all time when it comes to shoes. I mean I can comprehend that, yes, not every ankle boot is made to fit the ankle BUT, do something about it. Make an effort to not look like your ankle is too small for those boots...

How they can be so god damn expensive?

My all time favourite shoe designer is Christian Louboutin. But to own a pair of his shoes, I would probably have to sell my mother and father on the black market in China. I might even only get one shoe if not, a heel. Kidding!!. But seriously, it's a months rent for me. Pay my rent or buy a pair of Louboutin's? Pay my rent of course! For now (unless I somehow get miraculously rich) I will just have to buy shoes that I can afford.

Alright, I went a little insane in shoe purchases in the past two weeks. But with prices like these and free shipping on some of the items, I could not help myself. So the one thing about online shopping that kinda annoys me but not really (only when this happens) is you can't try the item on before purchasing, and you don't have a representative to double check if this is the item you want. I neglected to realize before I clicked "Place Order" that these were a size too small. >.< . Got them, and tried them on hoping to god they fit, they do, but they make my feet look fat. RETURN
